Barrington Court, Ilminster, Somerset : Analytical Survey and Investigation Report of Earthworks

Earthworks in the east garden and parkland to the south of Barrington Court were analytically surveyed and investigated in the spring of 2006. Those in the garden to the east of the house resolved into the remains of a formal garden, probably associated with an early phase of the house. Within the park a series of drainage features and ridge and furrow cultivation were recorded that can probably be dated to the late 18th or early 19th century.
