Author(s): Jacqui Watson
Selected metalwork from this seventh century cemetery has been examined and the mineral preserved organic material found on the objects has been identified and presented in the following report. Among this small group of objects was a copper alloy buckle with traces of an ivory inlay that was intended to be seen through a cut-work plate. This report includes a catalogue of all the objects that were examined, along with colour photographs and micrographs, as well as electron micrographs of the ivory.
