Eltham Palace, Greenwich, Greater London: Report on Geophysical Survey, September 2023
Author(s): Megan Clements, Neil Linford
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) survey was conducted across the North and South Lawn and the South Moat at Eltham Palace, Greenwich, Greater London. The survey (0.5ha) was intended to map the extent of known Tudor tunnels. The results have predominantly identified the remnants of the Tudor palace, which include the royal apartments, kitchen and service buildings, in addition to the nave of the chapel. While anomalies of potential relation to the tunnels have been identified, this relationship is extremely tentative and are not the tunnels themselves.
