TEXTILES: GREAT CHESTERFORD, ESSEX, ANGLO-SAXON CEMETERY.

Textiles from forty-nine graves in an Anglo-Saxon cemetery of the late 5th to 6th century. Textiles include four-shed twills, tabby and tablet weaves, and bead-cords, most mineralised. The cemetery was excavated in 1964, and iron objects coated heavily with preservative. Fibre identification was compiled by H M Appleyard.
