An archaeological survey at Eye Castle, Suffolk

Author(s): A Oswald

In mid-July 1994 the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England surveyed part of the Norman motte and bailey castle at Eye in Suffolk (NCR TM 147 738). This was intended to establish the relationship between surviving fragments of a curtain wall on the northern side of the bailey and the side of the motte, and to record the immediately associated earthworks for management purposes.
