Church of St Michael and All Angels, War Hill, Longdendale - Tameside
Landmark church on a ridge top location within the Longdendale Valley. Contains a wealth of C15 artefacts and general fabric, especially in the tower and chancel. The nave clerestory was added in1854. The tower struggles to resist the onslaught of rain driven off the Cheshire plain and this has caused extensive damage to the interior of the tower and the iron bell frame.
