Church of St Petrock, Church Street, South Brent, South Hams - Dartmoor (NP)
C12 parish church of which the west tower (formerly at the crossing) of the originally cruciform church survives. The west end was demolished early C14 when the present nave was rebuilt with two transepts. North and south aisles of early C15, restored late C19. The congregation was awarded a National Lottery Heritage Fund Grant for Places of Worship and in 2016-17 the tower was grouted and repointed and the vestry roof was repaired however the nave roof remains in poor condition. Investigative work on damp ingress is also continuing in 2020.
