Church of St Nicholas, School Road, Bracon Ash - South Norfolk
Medieval parish church restored in C19. Comprises nave, south aisle, north porch, late C13 chancel, and mid C18 mausoleum on northern side of chancel. Failing rainwater gutters and downpipes causing severe deterioration on chancel north wall, also placing at risk the remains of a very significant C16 terracotta monument, similar in style and design to those in Oxborough church, commissioned by the Bedingfield family. An application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund has been unsuccessful. Discussions on-going.
