Broadstone Chapel, Broadstone, Munslow - Shropshire (UA)

Set within a walled enclosure within open pasture, this C17 single cell former agricultural building with bi-annual church services was re-purposed as a chapel of ease to Munslow in 1843 when the west bell-cote, lancet windows and entrance were inserted. Built of rubble siltstone with dressed stone to openings and a pitched roof covered by plain clay tiles, cracks to the east wall corners indicates de-bonding of the masonry core which needs urgent attention. Assorted repairs to the roof coverings, cast iron rainwater goods and the surface water drainage system are also urgently required.
