Church of St Wilfrid, Selby Road - Leeds

Modern 1930s Expressionist church by Randall Wells. The roofs were renewed with funding from National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic England's former Repair Grants for Places of Worship scheme but the timber tower and spire are in poor condition and are allowing water to penetrate the fabric of the church. A National Lottery Heritage Fund Grants for Places of Worship Project Development grant was accepted in 2017 but issues relating to the telecommunications equipment in the spire have meant that repairs could not be safely carried out. A reduced scheme of repair is being investigated.
