St Joseph's Church, Tatton Street, Stockport - Stockport
Church of 1861-2 by Matthew Ellison Hadfield of Sheffield; built of hammer-dressed Yorkshire grit stone, Hollington stone dressings and slate roofs. Particularly of concern is evidence of damp and water ingress at high level, and missing hood moulding to high level stonework. A Minor Repair Grant from the Taylor Review Pilot was received in 2019 to help with repairs to the roof and rainwater goods. A substantial roof repair project was undertaken throughout spring 2024, but further repairs are necessary.
