Church of St Nicholas, The Green, Birmingham - Birmingham

Large sandstone Church of Norman origins with nave, aisles chancel and south porch. Its outstanding feature is the C15 spire and tower in 4 stages which is a local landmark. The Church has several issues especially on the south porch where a timber beam has structural issues and the valley above is leaking badly. The tower built in soft sandstone, also has structural issues which are currently being assessed although its stonework is poor and the parapet loose. The tower would benefit from improved safer access for repair and maintenance.
