Church of St Leonard, Rockingham, Rockingham - Corby

Church, of C13 origin. Rebuilt in 1660-70 after it was destroyed in the Civil War and then restored in C19. The church has suffered from structural movement and a more dramatic shift occurred in 2014. Movement has continued through 2018 and 2019 and requires investigation. A drainage report has been commissioned. There is considerable ivy growth which needs attention. Work to repair the roofs and rainwater goods was completed in spring 2018 with grant from the Listed Places of Worship Roof Repair Fund. The south slope of the chapel, though recently repaired, is reaching the end of its life.
