Remains of old church tower of St Mary and All Saints Church, Thundridge - East Hertfordshire
Ruinous C15 west tower belonging to the C11 to C12 church of St Mary and All Saints. Flint rubble with some dressings; a Romanesque doorway has been reset within the blocking of the chancel arch. The church was demolished in1853; only the tower remains substantially above ground. The site suffers from decay, vandalism and anti-social behaviour but blocking of the tower has reduced incidence of vandalism. In redundancy process. Discussions have commenced to establish a trust to manage the site locally.
