Description

The collection comprises three black and white photographs showing New Battery and High Down Test Site at The Needles, Isle of Wight taken by Anthony 'Bill' Lickfold. Anthony Lickfold (1928-1992) was a civil engineer and was involved in the construction of this Cold War rocket test site. The prints measure 3 x 4 inches and show the site under construction in 1956.

Archival History

The collection was donated to the Historic England Archive in 2022.
