Description

This collection, of unknown provenance, was donated to the Archive in 1996. It consists of twenty-two photographs, which have been split into two series'.

The first series consists of nine images of St Mary's Church in Netherbury, Dorset. Several of these show excavation work inside the church in the mid 20th century.

The second series, consisting of thirteen images, covers a mixture of subjects and locations. These include Blount's Chapel in Leominster, St Mary le Bow in Durham, St Augustine's Roman Catholic Church in Liverpool, St Andrew's Church in Buckland, Hertfordshire, and Christ Church, West Bromwich. There are also photographs of a church in the Faroe Isles, an unidentifed church in West Sussex, and two photographs of a church on Barry Island in Wales. The photographs in this series are by a range of different photographers, and do not have any obvious link to each other.
