Description

A collection of small format photographic negatives, donated to the archive via the Photographic Department at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew. The negatives date from the mid 20th century, but nothing further is known of their provenance.

The negatives are divided into two series'. The first, consisting of thirty-five images, covers the following subjects: Boston Manor House, Hounslow; cottages at Wrotham, Kent; Ely Cathedral; Windsor Castle grounds; Chiswick House - exterior views of the house and grounds; St Anne's Church, Kew.

The second series, consisting of thirty images, shows pubs and pub signs. One of these has been identified (Rose and Crown, Kew Green), but the others are currently unlocated.
