Description

The collection comprises three black and white photographic prints showing exterior views of Bolsover Castle. The photographer and date is unknown. The date is estimated at around 1950 through comparison with vegetation growth in photographs taken by F.J. Palmer in that year. There are views of the Terrace Range, a set of gates with piers topped with spheres, and an arched gateway. The photographs are silver gelatin developing-out paper prints.

Archival History

The collection was acquired by the Historic England Archive in 2023.
