Description
The collection comprises 54 black and white photographic prints of Brunswick Wharf Power Station under construction and two ring-binder albums containing 321 prints of other industrial buildings under construction in Dagenham, Bristol, Ipswich, Basildon and Brighton, including bakeries. The photographs were taken between 1950 and 1962 and those of the power station were taken by A. Potter. There is no clear connection between the two distinct series of photographs in this collection. They were probably brought together artificially immediately prior to acquisition.
Archival History
The collection was acquired by Historic England Archive in 2015.
