Description

The collection contains one black and white photographic print made during World War 2. The print shows an infamous image of the interior of Holland House library, Kensington, London, following bombing showing people apparently browsing through books. The image was taken on 23 October 1940 and has been attributed to 'Mr. Harrison'. The print has stamps on the reverse of Fox Photos including one certified by government censor.

Archival History

The print was acquired by the NMR in 1946. The image was taken by Mr. Harrison for Fox Photos. A copy negative of this image is available with the reference BB83/04456.
