Description
The collection comprises 35 colour photographic prints showing bingo and social clubs operated by leisure group Granada, and a printed brochure for the Granada Theatre, Woolwich. The photographs were taken for Granada following conversion or refurbishment by Photo Coverage in 1980 and 1981 except for four undated prints taken by Location Photographics. The photographs depict premises in: Bristol (6 photographs taken 29 May 1981); Wakefield (7 photographs taken 17 February 1981); Clapham (6 photographs taken 24 November 1980; Woolwich (8 photographs taken 4 November 1980) and Yardley (8 photographs taken 24 September 1980). It is not known if the brochure of the Granada Theatre, Woolwich is contemporary with the opening of the theatre or a replica and is undated.
Archival History
The collection was acquired by the Historic England Archive in 2025.
