Collection: Gustav Lassen Mellin Collection

Description

Gustav Mellin (1882-1961) was the Director of Mellin's Food Ltd in Peckham, London. During the Second World War he worked closely with William Fullerton (see FUL01) to record buildings at risk, and approximately 280 of his prints were purchased by the National Buildings Record, including some images showing Dulwich Art Gallery just before it was bombed. His work principally comprises record photography of churches in London, Kent and Sussex.
