Description

The collection contains three drawings showing the plan of Longford Castle, Odstock, Wiltshire and two sketch surveys showing the development of Wiltshire houses and estates.

The drawings of Longford Castle comprise: a photocopy of 1898 floor plan with key and colour pencil annotations showing stages of development; an ink tracing of a plan; and a labelled print proof of the same plan.

The surveys comprise colour pencil sketches showing the stages of development of the following houses and estates in Wiltshire: Wilton Abbey, Wilton (6 stages from pre-dissolution to 19th Century); Wilbury House, Newton Toney (2 stages from 1773 to 19th Century); and Longford Castle (3 stages from 17th Century to 'Modern').

The drawings and sketches in this collection were probably produced in the 1980s.
