Description

The collection comprises a photograph album probably created by the Reverend K N J Loveless, and donated to the Archive by the Council for the Care of Churches. The album contains one hundred and thirty three postcards and photographic prints from a range of dates, showing abbeys and parish churches in Norfolk, with a particular focus on Walsingham. The images include interior and exterior views of the buildings, alongside views of church fixtures and fittings. The postcards were produced by a range of publishers, but the photographer of the prints is not known.

Included within the album are views parish churches in North Creake, South Creake (including following bomb damage during the Second World War), Walsingham, Blakeney, King's Lynn, alongside views of Walsingham Abbey, Wymondham Abbey, and the Temporary Church of the Anunciation in Walsingham.
