Description

The collection consists of an album containing sixteen black and white photo-mechanical prints by Valentine and Sons Ltd, Dundee. The album is entitled ‘Lydford and District’ and was published by W. H. Symons, Post Office, Lydford circa 1900.

Locations include: Lydford Castle, Lydford Church, Lydford Mill, Lydford Cascade, Lydford Gorge, Tuckers Pool, Kits Steps, Bray Tor, Tavy Cleave, Brentor Church, and Princetown prison gate.

Archival History

The collection was acquired by The Historic England Archive in 1983.
