Description

The collection comprises 166 black and white photographs and some corresponding negatives showing ecclesiastical and secular buildings in Shropshire. The photographs were taken by Eric Mercer between 1983 and 1986.

Archival History

Eric Mercer was formerly head of the National Buildings Record and investigator.

The collection was acquired by The English Heritage Archive before 2007.
