Description

The collection comprises 3 scrapbooks compiled by Michael O'Hare. The scrapbooks contain handwritten and typescript text, photographs and cuttings recording drives along the Great North Road, the Bath Road and others. Nothing is known about Michael O'Hare but the journeys represented relate to published cycle rides made by C.G. Harper of which Historic England Archive holds original drawings that illustrated them. The scrapbooks were apparently unpublished and the draft was created in the 1970s.

Archival History

The albums were acquired by Historic England Archive in 2018.
