Description
The collection contains 501 black and white copy photographs of published drawings of `Hertfordshire Topography Illustrated' by Henry George Oldfield (died c 1791)
The copy prints were made in about the 1990s from microfilm copies which are held by Hertfordshire Record Office. The copies in this collection cover Volumes Vl, Vll and Vlll. The complete publication is held by the Record Office under the reference DE/Of. The publication was compiled in 1889.
The images in the collection are primarily of interiors and exteriors of churches including arms, screens, fonts and monuments. There are some views of Gentleman's Seats.
