The collection comprises an album of 108 photographs of houses, parkland, churches and groups of people in the 1860s. Included are 23 views of Park Place, Remenham taken before a fire in 1871. There are good views of the park including lodges, boat house, and gothic bridge in 'Happy Valley'. Other sites include Euston in Norfolk; Rotherfield Hall in East Sussex; Stowlangtoft Hall, Woolpit, Nether Hall and Pakenham in Suffolk; and Hursley, Easton Rectory, Stratton Park, and Twyford Moors in Hampshire.

The album includes annotated groups of people which include members of the Hervey & Scott families. It bears the armorial bookplate of Henry Wilson.

The album was acquired by the NMR in 2008.
