Description
The collection consists of seventy-seven postcards depicting public parks, memorial gardens, war memorials and fountains in England. The cards were deliberately selected to provide postcard representation of registered public parks which are not included in the Nigel Temple Postcard Collection (TEM01/01). The postcards were produced between about 1890 and 1980 and include photographic and non-photographic images, and coloured and monochrome images.
Archival History
The collection was acquired by The English Heritage Archive in 2014.
The first fifty-six postcards were deposited in May 2014; the remaining twelve postcards were deposited in December 2014.
