Description

A collection of 623 colour 35mm slides taken by Roger Richards in the 1960s. The slides primarily show parish churches and other religious buildings, with a small proportion showing landscapes, street scenes, and other historical buildings. Areas covered include Norfolk, Suffolk, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire, with some images also showing Coventry Cathedral, Stoke, Kenilworth Castle, Tewkesbury Abbey, Tunbridge Wells, Eastbury, Wilmcote, and Bourton on the Hill. 90 of the slides show interior views and architectural details of Charlton Park in Wiltshire. There are also 28 small format black and white negatives which were copied from some of the slides of Charlton Park.

Alongside the images there are notebooks and typed lecture on the churches of West Oxfordshire given by Roger Richards in 1963, accompanied by his slides.

A handlist to the slides provides access to the collection.
