Description
Collection of files from former Inspector of Ancient Monuments and Roman archaeologist, Sarnia Butcher. Includes correspondence, administration and publication files generated throughout her work with English Heritage and its predecessors. Much of the material is related to her specialism in Roman metalwork finds (SBA01/01). The collection also contains reports and papers on the 1970's excavations at Mucking, Essex, and other miscellaneous excavation reports and papers relating to excavations by the Inspectorate of Ancient Monuments (SBA01/02).
