A large collection of original material relating to excavations by S.C. Stanford at Croft Ambrey, Credenhill, Midsummer Hill and Clifton-upon-Teme. The excavations at Croft Ambrey were carried out by the Woolhope Naturalists' Field Club between 1960 and 1966 and were published in 1974. Excavations at Credenhill were carried out on behalf of the Ministry of Works; the Malvern Hills Archaeological Committee excavated at Midsummer Hill between 1965 and 1970, and the work at Clifton-upon-Teme was arranged by the Ministry of Works after an application to level the site. A further donation of material relating to excavations at Bromfield between 1966 and 1981 was made in 1998.
