Description
The collection consists of original plans and notes relating to the excavation of the Roman villa at Denton by the Ministry of Works, and investigator photography of churches and country houses carried out as part of Smith's work as an RCHME investigator. The collection also contains 550 35mm slides showing churches, country houses and vernacular architecture in England and also photographic copies of plans, extracts and photographs.
