Description

The collection contains 19 black and white mounted photographs of Stansted Park, Stoughton, West Sussex. The photographs show views of Stansted House and chapel. Rowlands Castle Lodge, Racton Tower, South Lodge (or Emsworth Lodge), North Lodge (or Middle Lodge), Lumley Seat, Holme Farm House, and St Paul's Church, Stoughton. All views are exteriors apart from 3 interiors of the church.

The photographs were taken by E G Barnett of Queens Street, Emsworth and although they are undated, they were taken before the fire that destroyed the original Stansted House in 1900.

Archival History

The collection was acquired by the NMR before 2007.
