Description

The collection contains a photographically illustrated book, published in 1871, entitled ‘History and Description of the Old & New Trent Bridges, Nottingham’ and written by the engineer Marriott Ogle Tarbotton.

The book contains 12 photographic albumen prints by Tarbotton, two of which are credited to Richard Allen & Son, and provides a history of the Old Trent Bridge with a descriptive account of the new bridge. The book was published by Richard Allen & Son, Caxton House, Nottingham.
