Description
The collection contains an estimated 19000 35mm colour and black and white slides and 310 black and white negatives showing: castles and other fortified structures, bridges, domestic buildings, churches (fittings, glass and monuments), transport (railways and canals) in England, Wales and various European countries. The collection was compiled by Arnold Taylor who was a former Inspector of Ancient Monuments. The images were taken between about 1950 and 1989.
The slides are arranged numerically and can be referenced by indices.
Archival History
The collection was acquired by the NMR between 2001 and 2007.
