Description

The collection comprises a report into the conservation and restoration of the painted parlour of Trevelver Farm, St Minver, Cornwall. The report was compiled by Eddie Sinclair, Elizabeth Cynddylan and John Cynddylan in 2002. English Heritage part funded the restoration of the farmhouse and Rebecca Child of English Heritage provided specialist advice. The project was overseen by timber specialist Hugh Harrison. The restoration of the 17th century painted parlour, known as The Polychromy in the report, took place between 1995 and 1997. The initial inspection of the parlour was by Eddie Sinclair, conservation was undertaken by Eddie Sinclair, Elizabeth Cynddylan and John Cynddylan, and joinery was done by Bob Chappell and Cameron Stewart. The report comprises 12 pages, 19 colour plates, and 21 colour 35mm photographic slides. The plates and the slides depict the Polychromy before, during and after restoration.
