The collection comprises 580 measured drawings produced in 1978 and 1979 with the reference numbers MD93/03241-MD93/03820.
The drawings were produced by a variety of draughtsmen for a competition sponsored by The Architects' Journal, Victorian Society and architectural paper manufacturer Wiggins Teape. The competition was for measured drawings of Victorian buildings built in the period 1830 to 1920.
The drawings show a wide range of building types across the country but there is a strong emphasis on London.
The collection also contains a set of competition pack receipt cards, photographs of a competition lunch party, and drawings and papers relating to a single submission recording Home Farm, Shipley, Derbyshire.
