When the image was taken the photographer referred to the building as 'AP Home' which may be a reference to 'aged persons' or people. The building shown may have been used as a care home for older people at that time, but along with other buildings in Clasper Village it has since been demolished. An OS map from 1972 shows it was called Westwood.
