The church was built between 1632 and 1634, founded by John Harrison. It underwent alterations and restorations in 1830-1838, 1866-1868 and 1890. It has a west tower, nave with south aisle, south porch and chancel with embattled parapets throughout. The south arcade has octagonal piers with round headed arches, and a timber roof with tie beams and angel corbels. The arcade capitals are carved with acanthus leaves and ball ornaments.
