Description

The hall was designed by Sir Charles Barry and E.M. Barry and was opened in 1863. Victoria Hall is a double height space with a gallery on all sides and a glazed ceiling. The ground floor has six by five recessed bays, with projecting pilasters between each one. Above are segmental recesses with two carved cherubs either side of a crest. The door from the hall lead to committee rooms and offices and a storeroom.
