Description

This window is also referred to as the Pilgrim Window, as it included symbols of a medieval pilgrim. The figure has been identified as St James the Great, whose shrine in Spain was an important place of pilgrimage, and who is often depicted as a pilgrim himself. The photographic print of this negative in the Red Box Collection is a part enlargement showing only the window.
