Description

The south chapel, called the Greenway Chapel, was given by John Greenway, a wool merchant, in 1517 as a Chantry Chapel. The exterior of the chapel is intricately carved with ships and scenes from the life of Christ. The buttresses also feature three dimensional carvings, and the chapel is topped by a stepped pierced parapet. The chapel was restored in 1829 and again in 2017.
