This impressive timber building dates from the late 17th century with a datestone "I K 1696" (for Jacob Kingsbury). It stands opposite the main, north entrance to the Abbey, seen beyond, and is thought to occupy the site of the Abbey hostelry. The building is Grade II* Listed. The children in the foreground are in front of number 7 Mill Street.
