Description

The photographer’s notes state: ‘Ditto. Interior. West end of the north aisle of the crypt. Original monument to John Whitson, and a disused font.'

Noted in red: ‘The body of the church was reduced to a shell in the air raid of Nov.24.1940. The steeple and the medieval crypt were, however, spared.'
