Description

The photographer’s notes state: ‘Back Hall. The upper floor of the barn like buildings (prob 15th century) off the west end of Rowland Adams's fruit and vegetable market. Looking west. Probably an ancient market building. Adjoins on E. the "Windsor Castle" Pub in Queen Charlotte Street.'

Noted in red: ‘This building was gutted in an air raid before June 1941.'
