The photographer’s notes state: ‘Looking south down Queen Charlotte Street from Baldwin Street (from the same point as a.113 photo). The small house, on the right of the large modern buildings, is the "Windosr Castle" Free House. Just beyond it is Rowland Adams's Warehouse. It has large posters on its lower part. no 14.'
Noted in red: ‘The warehouse was gutted in an air raid before June 1941, and was being demolished in August 1949, and so were also the warehouses to the south of it.'
