The photographer’s notes state: ‘Three Horse Shoes. The little hipped gable house just on the right is No. 7 Ellbridge Passage. The passage is only 4 ft wide at this point between the old inn and No. 7. There was formerly a narrow footbridge opposite this passage over the River Froom, which is now under the wide road. The passage led southwards to Ellbroad Street.'
Noted in red: 'The other dwellings in Ellbridge Passage were demolished at the same time as No. 7, i.e: about 1935.'
