The foundation stone for Henry VII's Chapel at Westminster Abbey was laid in 1503. The tomb of Henry VII (d1509) and his queen Elizabeth of York (d1502-3) was created in marble by Pietro Torrigiani, and is enclosed by a bronze screen on a plinth of Purbeck marble (RCHME London Volume 1: Westminster Abbey, p60)
